Can Women Get Oneitis?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I wanted to do more thorough research of “oneitis”, since it’s unfortunately a very accurate description of what I’m feeling for this one guy. When I did a Google search on how to cure oneitis, a lot of the articles were focused around how to cure a man of it. I don’t have an issue with that, of course, but then when I went on a couple of Leddit threads asking this question (I know I’m sorry, I was desperate for anything), the answer was either “no they can’t” or “they get oneitis for completely different reasons men do”.

I feel nothing but love for this man. It’s not a power thing or anything like that, all it is is love. I know I can’t have him and that’s okay. But I indulge myself in this fantasy, this idealized version of him, I guess as a way of coping with my loneliness. A more accurate way to put it is he’s the actor playing this character I’m in love with. So I wanted /adv/‘s input on this question,

Can women get oneitis? Or is it something else?

It starts being an issue when you start thinking everyone he gets close to (particularly, other women) is dangerous/is using him/is going to hurt him. The thought of him getting hurt is painful for me.

Just spread your legs you dumb b***h and he will frick you. Then you can be his b***h for few weeks or months before he inevitably discards you like the disposable prostitute that you are.

The closest I ever got to being fricked hard is through imaginary sexual fantasies. Basically I’m a complete loser.

Yeah. I think they generally use the term "limerance" though, seems like the same thing.

For me personally, I was friends with a guy for about a year and couldn't get over him at all. I kept imagining scenarios with him in my head and would rather just be singke than date anyone other than him since he seemed perfect. Found his social media accounts too with some digging and checked them multiple times a day for a while. Took 7 years for that shit to end and it only did because I found someone who seemed even more perfect. I stopped talking to him because of how perfect he seems in comparison to me- I'd feel extremely guilty about being in a relationship with him and have a lot of deserved self hatred- and I'm doing basically the same shit again. Fantasizing about him and checking his social media daily. I'll probably never be in an actual relationship.

    >Can Women Get “Oneitis”?
Of course they can, why they wouldn't be able to? There's many examples of parasocial relationships and it's been hapenning since forever.
Now, how to cure it, probably it's the same solution that you saw on guys, the one that i recommend if possible is just to avoid any contact/relation with that person if possible, like, block on social media all that. If it isn't possible, using your time in other things trying to forget about it is the best, like a sport as a hobby shit like that.
But you have to understand, those kind of relationships will always go bad, no matter what, for you, for that person, for everyone.

Guuuuurl, why you on NSFFW loooking for advice from a bunch of incel chuds that hate you just for existing and being female. All they are going to do is put you down and belittle you.
Anyway, I'll give you some advice while I'm here. I have lots of experience with having weird crushes, kek. When I was a little kid, I always daydreaming, I would imagine situations or think about a tv show or character I loved, and I'd replay it in my mind over and over again. Then I got to middle school age, and that habit changed, it switched to thinking about my oneitis all the time. I was always obsessed with someone, a boy at school, a celebrity, sometimes like fictional characters. I think I'll always have a bit of a bunny boiler in me, stalkery erotomania tendencies, but I got it under control in middle school.
What I'm getting at is those deep rich feelings you have for your oneitis, circulate that energy back towards yourself. That's creative energy. You are an artist, and your oneitis is your muse. The separation between yourself and object of desire is a catalyst, it creates a voltage differential so electricity can flow, it becomes a fountain of ideas and inspiration.
Stop feeling sorry for and judging yourself and appreciate the experience of infatuation. Remember you are powerful. You are like a teen superhero in x-men comics who hasn't learned how control her powers yet, that's all. Let go of conventional ways of thinking about your feelings. Let yourself have flights of fancy in your imagination.
These days I have weird crush on a guy I see around sometimes, like at the gym and the supermarket. I find it helps to think of him as a symbol. The actual individual man is replaceable, interchangeable. If you got a real boyfriend you'd probably forget all about your crush. Also, sounds corny but I think it helps to wish them well. Imagine them succeeding in life, your crush has their own inner struggles and conflicts, hopes and dreams, they are not a perfect.

More so than men, in my experience.

    >a lot of the articles were focused around how to cure a man of it

No one really takes women seriously about these things. We still live in a world where people believe women don't chase or lust after others.

This is actually called her becoming an Alpha Widow. She gets fricked and her back blown out by a Chad Alphamale but she can’t get his commitment and he moves on to other Sloots whose poons he also wants to conquer. She becomes an Alpha Widow and will always compare other men to the Alphamale Chad who rearranged her guts during that Spring Break fling or one night stand.
