Careful anon, those kind of sentiments could be misconstrued as hate speech if you're implying that minorities/immigrants are draining the welfare state past its ability to meaningfully accommodate them - leading to hyper inflation as the government frantically overspends in a vain and desperate attempt to course correct lest their political opponents seize on the opportunity before WWIII can kick off and perma-Czars are eventually appointed. That notion will soon carry a life sentence for Leafs now:

Unironically. If you feel bad about killing an animal then just become a vegetarian, you’re the freak for wanting to eat meat while pretending your nuggies come from a nuggie machine and that an animal didn’t have to die just to donate 2000 calories of protein to the human race.

        Yes.
Honestly, I wish more people would kill, process, and eat their own meat. Ducks, chicken, pigs, cows, deer, rabbit, squirrel, fish, turkey, and goat. I've killed and butchered them all over the years. Raised the bulk of my meat for years too.

Don't kill goats any more though. Just fenced off my yard and let them roam keeping the grass maintained.

40 Canadian dollars is like 500 Mexican pesos and that's what you're paying for two and a half kilos of chicken in Canada. It's funny why I ordered ten kilos of chicken for a party I'm having on Saturday and the total was 700 pesos.

It's ficking cheap if you buy a chicken. It's expensive to buy a select, in-demand cut like the breast with bone removed.

Chicken is routinely .79 a pound (roughly 1.70 a kilogram) for leg quarters in my area. Boneless skinless breasts are usually 4.40 a kilogram. Thighs fall in between.
The crazier shit is most fresh vegetables are way more expensive (excluding corn, potatoes, and such).
Generally, I can drop about $100 on chicken for a month for two people. $150 for pork for the same. $300 for beef. If I want green beans? Shit is $8.00 per kilo. Broccoli? $10 per kilo.

It's just dealing with grocery store economics. They care about the net income off of your whole shopping which is an aggregate of all the in store prices, and meat gets people in the door (either quality or quantity). Produce variety and quality also get people in the store. And because you're there you'll get cheese, deli meat, coffee and cereal, all with a high markup and relatively shelf stable. Grocery is usually the only show in town for produce, and farmers markets and farm stands are able to follow the same prices. Though you might get lucky with the occasional stand selling tomatoes for a quarter.

If you think you're really going to get fricked, consider raising rabbits for meat. I've been looming into it. I've had rabbit before and it is very similar to chicken. Who cares if it's legal if you gotta eat? It wouldn't be too hard to hide and they aren't loud and smelly like chickens. The fur can also be sold, with some breeds being better for meat and some better for fur. You just can't live on it entirely cause it is extremely lean. Like 95% protein. The manure is also apparently able to be put straight into gardens.

For me, it’s the Enchirito. I know it’s not on the menu anymore, but if you go inside and ask for a bean burrito with beef and the sauce and cheese on the side and pour it on top, you can almost hear the bells ringing as you make a run for the border.

Can buy a whole chicken for $10 in the US at any grocery store. when you buy chicken breats you are paying for the person to do all the work for no reason. Just buy a whole chicken, costs nothing. Roast it in the oven and tastes amazing, feed you for 3 days.

Unironically the carbon tax. I know that dorky homosexual Pierre keeps parroting it but he is right that the carbon tax increases the price of food dramatically.

    >farmer taxed
    >trucker taxed
    >abattoir taxed
    >second trucker taxed
    >grocery store taxed

The carbon tax is an incredible blunder and the fact Trudeau didn’t have the foresight to give exemptions or subsidies to farmers and logistics is way way crazy.
