Coworker stole my gfs nudes from my phone and shared with others. How do I get over this?

Low-life coworker airdropped photos/vids of me and my gf to himself. For months he shared with another coworker and they both laughed in my face while doing so. Everyday im filled with rage, humiliation, and a sense of defeat. I don’t think I’ll be able to get over this for years to come. How do I let this go? I feel like this is the greatest disrespect/attack I’ve ever dealt with. Please tell me…, how can I stay strong?

How the frick is he still employed? Did you not go to fricking HR? Like holy shit this sounds like something you could sue for. Couldn't this also technically fall under revenge porn laws?
    Seriously, go after his ass.

Already did. I don’t have evidence. I’m still trying to acquire some through security footage

Find it. That's the best option. Depending on where you live you could also wear a wire and get him to admit it as evidence.

Alright, here's the problem: You can't prove that you didn't send those pictures voluntarily, and I'm not convinced you didn't.
But I don't care, so let's just give you the benefit of the doubt, and roll with it.

It's absolutely critical that the coworker confesses in front of HR, otherwise you're fricked. Don't give him time to come up with a story.
Set up a meeting with you, him and HR. Put up the pressure, throw out your allegations and overwhelm him with details that sound a lot like proof.
Because the moment he claims you sent them to him voluntarily, you're gonna have to prove that you didn't, which is impossible. Checkmate.

Also: Lesson of the day: Don't take nude pictures of your special someone. It will get leaked eventually.

I will never understand why people haven't learned this maybe they just don't care.
I also don't understand people that watch porn on their phone instead of computer, unless they're so poor they only have phone

HR don't even give a shit about how they were acquired, they just care about the fact that something grossly inappropriate is being shared around at work. You can get in trouble for just telling a dick joke, so something like this is in dismissal territory.

It's odd that OP hasn't made any report at all yet.

You bring it up with the coworker, tell them how it made you feel.

they will apologise = you will feel better

they wont apologise = you feel better to have raised it but cant do anything about it.

this is all about making yourself feel better not getting back at them, hurting them etc.

    Its about you.

Take revenge, put sugar in his gas tank or something. Anything. Nothing will let you forget this until you've taken revenge.

The problem is OP needs proof, because once the cops are involved the colleague will tread super carefully and his lawyer will make him shut up.
That is not what we want. We want him to incriminate himself first, then you get the cops involved.

The longer he thinks "it's not a big deal" the better the chances that he actually confesses on the record.

a simple phone record check by law enforcement will prove that it was sent to his phone then sent from his phone to all the other phones, which corroborates OP's story. probably a lot of incriminating text messages from that guy to the dudes he sent them to as well.

Personally, I would never take those kind of pictures with my personal phone that I carry around everywhere for exactly this reason. If anything, I would use another device I have on the side reserved for home use only, like my tablet.

If your coworkers really did those things, I would suggest not working with them. It’s not worth it to surround yourself with bad people.

As the old saying goes, "Look on the bright side." Situations like these have an intriguing and rewarding effect on an individual. They expose you in such a way to make your soul attractive. Have you ever noticed how people that enjoy being nude with others on the beach are really down-to-earth & relatively relaxing to be around? This is the epitome of your milestone so relax. Another old saying, "Time heals all wounds yet leaves scars to learn from." We all have skeletons in our closets. If I'm getting the saying correct lol sry. But what I'm trying to say with the skeleton thing is: We've all done something embarrassingly sexual at one point in our lives. If you're still uneasy find others that can relate.

"Vengeance is served soon if you need the food or done without cooking if you need it later." - ???

"Your righteous actions flow with time." - ???

"Yes—I made a conscious decision and—no—I will never join your mindless nonsense." - ???

Sorry if TL;DR and a bit annoying. Think of my little quotes as the fortune you get out of a fortune cookie after eating at a delicious Chinese restaurant.

I've provided a picture too in case you might need it. If not it's been said that 1 out of every 12 people worldwide knows someone with a mental illness so share it with that someone if you do.
