Dates are for women. Men put up with them to please women. Men want to lay in bed, watch a movie, talk and cuddle.

Yeah but sometimes those "watch a movie" date is just a bait to hook up.. Is it too much to want someone to spend time with and enjoy each others hobbies together? 🙁 It doesnt even have to be dinner dates but like hikes or something!

I think watching a movie as the main event if its just a excuse for sex okay go ahead, but in the realm of fun

Hike. Guys think better when they work. Also, get those pheromones humming.

is way better, you can watch the movie once ur back to civilization and you are kinda tired, watch the movie while drinking tea or something afterwards

Honestly, yes. We just tolerate that shit for the most part. My male friends are too slow to keep up hiking so with women it is a lot of going, stopping, waiting. And then other girlfriend ideas are like let's go spend $15 for fricking eggs at this urban hipster "farm" or let's go pick through peoples trash clothes at a consignment store. You know what a great starting date is? Costco. If one of you has the card and can take the other one, that shit rules. You stock up on meat, potatoes, carrots, onions, paper towels, you buy one of those nice as frick kirkland signature full zip hoodies for like $24 that are as thick as a carhartt. Then you both eat a slice or a dog for $1.50 or $3. Men don't want to go to a hipster place to spend $26 on some fricking bought in refrigerated sysco ravioli. They also don't want to go to a bad antique store and pick through useless shit. Now a cool antique store with watches and tools and stuff like that is cool. Or even a book store date where you drink the overpriced coffee but still only spend $6 on coffee and maybe get a paperback copy of hyperion or something is not that bad either. Or, get this, go to an actual diner instead of the hipster trash homegrown shit. A diner like sams diner in denver or jimmys diner in wichita or guildays diner in newark delaware. A cheap local place that has bacon, eggs, hash browns or home fries, and toast for $6 served by a curt unattractive waitress. Those places are the absolute best. Or maybe elmers tacos in chandler arizona where a huge real bean and cheese burrito is $3 and the best you will ever have because they use real tortillas and real lard.

You sound like a fricking redneck. I wouldn't frick you nor the people you criticize if you paid me 10k and if I was gay.

I really wish I were a redneck and raised that way. I hate "antique" stores that only have bric-a-brac. I hate consignment stores selling a pilled to shit faded boise cancer walk shirt from 2010 for $30. I hate breakfast restaurants that charge $18 for a breakfast. I hate breweries that sell 11 different ipas because they're the frick easiest beer to make and have no lager. I hate clothing brands like patagonia that sell you literal plastic garbage for $300. But I would spend $600 on something like an iron heart jacket or a virgin wool coat. I wouldn't buy one of those cheaper "martins" that have inferior wood just because it says "martin" and I would buy an epiphone masterbilt guitar. All of these things are completely rational. I also don't buy hardcovers because I read in the sauna and destroy my books. Just avoiding scam pricing on major brands and chains or dumbass fads like wearing a used bank 1 tee shirt you bought for $35 doesn't mean I wouldn't buy a luxury item that is actually good.

Well I'm fairly active and a bit outdoorsy.
escape rooms are fun and are a good way to bond, personally I really like to go star gazing and use that as time to clear my head periodically. Same with hiking as other anons said.
Basically just seeing new places, new experiences, trying new things it doesn't need to be complicated we're fairly easy to please

escape rooms are a great idea! I love escape rooms! And star gazing seems sweet but I also feel the constant pressure of needing to entertain the other person so sometimes sitting in silence is awkward if I sense they are bored or not enjoying themselves..

well some context in terms of what you're thinking in terms of planning a date applies here.
I would absolutely love to take someone star gazing, but not as a first date for the reasons of silence and boredom you mentioned. in that instance a more hands on activity makes sense or at least something that allows us to fill in the time of talk like a museum or art gallery or something

Museums and art galleries tend to be awk places to talk because they are normally silent and voices echo! How abt a show/concert?

            >Museums and art galleries tend to be awk places to talk because they are normally silent and voices echo!
Art galleries welcome conversation (I work in one), most museums do too.
It might be a better idea to go to a somewhat weirder museum since that provides more opportunity to comment on it.

            >How abt a show/concert?
These ask you actively to shut up, how is this a better idea than a museum?
Only an option if you know in advance it's going to be a terrible show imo.
If I were watching a band I like perform and you were ruining it by trying to talk to me, I'd be pissed.

Suck that dude's dick on a jet ski. If you do that, he'll be so frickin' blown away both literally and metaphorically that he won't even know what's going on, homes. He'll tell all his buddies he had the best time in years and he'll definitely want to see you again, hombre.

    Sporting clays is fun

Based and bruised lady shoulder pilled. Northeast of phoenix we have a 9 station clay course that you play like golf. Par is 2 shells per hole for 2 clays, you have 3 shells per hole to hit them and you add a point for every shell you use and every clay you miss. If you're lucky and the timing is right you can hit two with one shell. The lowest scorer wins. They have 4 buttons per hole, high and lows with some of them being rabbits. The shit is really fun, way more fun than trap or skeet alone because of the variety.

Coffee and a walk at the park is quality time and filters out a lot of crap guys. I'm a fan of the gym date. Besides the obvious, it gives you an idea of how mentally tough and hardworking the other person is.
