explaining dating to mom

Mom and grandma seem to think that I am perfectly eligible for a relationship, and that I'm just choosing not to date. What do I do? I've tried explaining the current dating market, but they just accuse me of being misogynistic and claimed 'women aren't like that' and 'you need your facts checked' in regards to app dating culture. They think I'm blowing smoke up their ass when in reality I've only had 2 matches in 2 years

Tell them to find you someone. Make them work and realize how fruitless it is.

Kind of like this, but have them make profiles on dating apps posing to be guys (either let them run yours or just use some images you get online) and see how they fare.

      This

Online is a kniwn shitshow, but even ignoring it they won't learn till they eat shit themselves. Any advice on other women they give will be trash anyway.

Quit dating apps and talk to women organically. Dating apps attract the worst percentile of women.
I had a girlfriend I met in a game of Overwatch 1. I had girlfriends I met on Kik groupchats back in the early 2010s. My latest I met on a field trip. Friends with benefits and situationships all met on Discord servers or /soc/.
You can still be chronically online and have a girlfriend, if you're likeable and charismatic in online communities.

Show them pic related and tell them they are moronic for making positive statements on things they actually do have no idea about.

      >Friends with benefits and situationships all met on Discord servers or /soc/.
Not that I need it but that is actually peculiar to me. What kind of Discord server actually has women on it and what percentage of them is mentally ill?

You're no older than 25, so your mother is about 50, meaning she is GenX.
You describe her life like she was following Pa Ingalls in a covered wagon.

Extroverts with a life spend 15 mins a day posting on the internet.
Introverts with social anxiety spend 15 hours a day posting on the internet.

So the % of internet comments is like 99% posted by introverts with no life, vs 1% posted by extroverts with a life.

This explains why the internet "agrees" on things that are totally disconnected from reality. It's just the population of societal losers all agreeing with each other, while the rest of the world goes on without them.

The "dating market" doesn't matter bro. It's literally just memes on the internet.

To date a girl all you need to find is 1 woman who is compatible. Just because a "market" is one way, doesn't mean there is nobody compatible with you. That's like saying "the car market is too expensive so I can never find an affordable car." No, you just have to look.

First you need to understand that you are wasting your time talking to mommy. People over 40 are broken records of soundbites from when they were your age. You are not going to convince them of anything. You are not going to get pertinent advice. They do not understand your world. They are not your sounding board for what you read on NSFFW. Unless they happen to be successful at something you want to do it's time to put mommy away. Smile, nod, tell her she did a great job raising you, and ignore her.

Tinder doesn't work. It's just another thing on your phone designed to capture your attention. You need to socialize and meet new people in meatspace to meet women and need not to be a freak outcast. That's it. There's not great secret.

    >Where do I socialize
Classes, meetups, gatherings, parties, shows where people with your mutual likes goals values and interests gather
    >How do I socialize with people there?
Discuss what you are doing and add your unique insights to the conversation (if it is true, polite, and helpful) Be a good listener. Sometimes a different topic comes up and you can form a bond over that too.
    >I did that and don't have any friends!
That is why you need to meet new people per step 1. Not everyone you meet is going to be an acquaintance and not every acquaintance is going to be a friend. That's just how life is.
    >It's really uncomfortable to try and fail it's too hard!
I know it's hard. But failure is an opportunity to learn. Everything is hard at first, but only at first. You'll never have anything if you let your fear of failure and discomfort outweigh your desire for what you want.
    >I've done that a whole lot and still no friends!!!!
You probably have some kind of personality or developmental disorder you should get professionally diagnosed and help for. There is no shame in needing help.
