Giving up porn

Someone I care about wants me to give up porn (due to ethical and moral reasons which I agree with), and they are tired of me lying about saying I don't look at it anymore. I am on thin ice, it's causing some really big issues, in my own mind and in my relationships. Can someone please give me some ways to quit porn for good? And also masturbation?

When you get the urge to look at porn, read some erotica instead. Slower build-up, imagination only, you’re not overstimulating yourself visually and nobody is harmed or coerced into it.

If they’re asking you to stop jerking off completely, this is an unreasonable request and bad for your health (unless you’re having regular sex). You need to ejaculate every once in a while to keep your prostate healthy.

Or you could just jerk it once or twice a week and not have to deal with washing cum out of your sheets.

            No, cold turkey.

No, not really. Its not just about getting rid of cum, you need to jerk off to ensure good circulation of blood in your genital areas. That is of course if you do not have sex, sex is much better for that, but masturbation is better than no movement there at all. This is all in reference to prostate health

I see. Well what's the quickest way I can have sex? I know a girl in my street but I dunno if she likes me like that.

Delete all of it that you have saved to your phone or computer, perma delete all your accounts that are associated with porn, if you feel the urge to watch it again go and jerk off to your imagination and the feeling will disappear immediately. Best way to stop is to just cut it off asap and don’t look back, don’t analyze anything just block off any easy access to it. It’s easier than you think.

I don’t know why your partner would have an issue about masturbation without porn, that seems a little controlling.

It's not my partner. They understand that jerking off is natural. They dislike pornography. And I have decided to quit both.

NoFap is bullshit. Take it from someone who has been there and done that. Women aren’t going to notice that you stopped playing with yourself. So if that’s why you posted this stupid pic then get them delusions out of your head because it’s all placebo.

Now, unless your partner is interested in you sexually and is going to put out for you I wouldn’t even entertain any notion of abstinence. Orgasms are completely normal and healthy. What’s not normal or healthy is watching porn in order to orgasm. So if you want to quit then I suggest using your imagination and exploring what makes you tick that way. Unless your partner is a total prude then they should be ok with you jerking off as long as you aren’t consuming porn. And if they aren’t? Dump em.
