Honestly just one day at a time.
I stressed so much thinking of 3-month nofap and that I might lose all of my streak and whatnot.
It was when I started not caring about not fapping and actually focusing on doing other things that time flew by. So, there's that.

Did you ever have an event in 3 days you were really looking up to, and these 3 days seemed to never pass by? That's kinda what it is. You consciously counting it makes it drag on slower.

Also, in the 6th month of my nofap I found it kinda difficult to stay hard, so watch how your body reacts to these types of things. Peace bro

      4 months in currently.

It's easier when you get rid of EVERYTHING pornographic, such as seeing chicks on tiktok bouncing their breasts just from moving. Peeking is an absolute no-no. It's like putting your pinky in a turbine only to get sucked in immediately.

And to add what he said, don't bother counting your days. I haven't even noticed it's been 4 months until now and I don't know the exact days. One of the mistakes AA has made is when people have a single drink during their 1-year sobriety streak they break down and think it's "all over". That just leads to binging and having more guilt and anxiety when starting a streak again. Focus on your efforts, not your 90 day end goal

Look up "The E C P C way to qu*t p*rn" in google but write it properly. I swear NSFFW won't let me post about this particular method for some reason, it's like they don't want you to quit.
This is a great method and the only one which worked definitely for me after spending years trying to quit by willpower.

Get a girlfriend or frick hookers. The reason you keep relapsing is because you don't have anything to replace porn with.
Masturbation is bad but at the end of the day you still have sexual needs. It's unrealistic to think you can go years without doing it a single time.

Antipsychotic. kills sex drive but also kills depression and anxiety.

if you're taking antipyschotics for a long time, and you stop taking them, could the withdrawal cause you to become more mentally ill?
I'm already teetering on schizo so I could probably use them but I'm worried about dependence and making the problem even worse

Stop worrying about dependence; you shouldn't feel ashamed about taking medication you need. It's certainly better than being consumed by your illness, especially one so serious as schizophrenia.

          >being consumed by your illness
but I'm not really consumed by it at all. In fact I'm not sure the illness even exists. I just see little things skittering in the corner of my eyes sometimes, which could just as likely be a symptom of post acute withdrawals after quiting alcohol a month ago. That's about the extent of it. If anything, the thing I'm MOST paranoid about is going full schizo, because it happened to my older brother.
I am in complete control of my faculties as it is, perhaps suffer from depression but that's a different story.

In that case you probably don't need meds, but if you feel like it gets bad you should speak to a psychiatrist. If quitting porn is your only concern then there are certainly better ways to do it than getting meds you don't need.

I'm not OP, I just chimed in because I was interested in the mechanism of antipsychotics. I do appreciate your advice though!

You want to treat the symptoms, not the cause. Ask yourself, how would you spend your time right now if you didn't have access to NSFFW or pornography. Start building a purpose for yourself. This can be a hobby, a degree, a job, a friend circle, or anything else you think you might want or need.

Sexaholics Anonymous was the way to do it for me.
I don't believe in their total definition of "sexual sobriety" which is no sex outside of marriage, but it's turned me from a chronic masturbator and frequenter of massage parlors/prostitutes to someone who jerk offs once every couple of months
I think it's mostly having a group to be accountable for, and gamification with their chips for periods of sobriety, but I like it and it works for me. Not to mention I do have some sort of compulsive sex problems as I'd do these things even while in relationships where I was getting sex (and these activates led to the destruction of them sometimes too)

Get a gf who will relieve you sexually. If you don't have a gf there's no point quitting.

No, at least I haven't noticed. I'm on instant release so the effects don't last until bedtime.

you just drop it and pursue your passion. and you do it quickly before tragedy strikes. because you won't want to quit after something horrible happens. imagine being unable to enjoy anything except sleep and quiet. delete the whole folder while you can and wherever you engage in that activity you stay away from it.
