Wouldn't the freemarket decide they're great, to where we all end up buying them on our own?

EVs are the future but it depends on major improvements in batteries. If they were ready for primetime now, the massive subsidies would be unnecessary. And this applies to all subsidies generally.

Less efficient when you consider all that goes into making one, and especially when you consider how much it takes to maintain one.

What numbers, go look it up. They're exploding everywhere they've been used. Like the Escooter. Worse the production is the exact opposite of eco requiring far more deforestation and producing more emissions than their counterpart. They require far more electricity by comparison on the mileage. They last a tech average. Not many will make over a decade. They are far more costly upkeeping. They cost more.

At what point today are you such a moron? It was an easy lie. It has been the easiest lie. It happens when you put everything into a computer. It makes shitty computer car next. So cool it's the best. Not. Computer will stop climate change. Hang on. Computer caused climate change. Whatever. We're talking comparison.

It's a piece of real shit with no other thought except exploiting consumption in attempts of generating productivity and revenue while cornering the market into narratives of planetary dystopia. If everything on computer, computer control everything. How much easier is it to turn electricity off. They can disable your car in seconds unlike that Toyota pick up.

A battery vehicle can be charged anywhere there's an electrical outlet. A gas vehicle needs to go to fuel stations. Which do you think would be easier to shut down?

You can store gas in a jerry can. You can have a silo full of gas.

You are on a grid charging inflation and debt every single time your neighbour plugs in. It needs another powerstation taxing you.

Beautiful investment. Productivity attempting too. It lasts no lifetime. The parts are replaced. It has nothing to do with the weather. Electric cars don't work in the weather. They explode.

The charge on an EV needs multiple refilling to get its assumption. That's if you're going directly from A to B. It makes its charges in traffic until you start using all the onboard entertainment and the thing explodes.

We were talking about one of the most successful weapon of war the Toyota pickup versus a EV. What went wrong? Literally disabled in seconds. But where is this mythical charge point. Unlike another tank container of gas. Your ability to be somewhat self sufficient.

We were talking about your own ability to be a mechanic. EV parts like the flatscreen, smartphone, tablet are replaced. Tell me that environmental toll. It's far higher than agriculture. In fact the cosmetic industry is far more emitting than livestock. Let's forget this and tell stupid little Aesop fables. They have nothing to do with the weather, pollution perhaps, but car emissions are only a fraction of those emissions. Meanwhile the EV is as toxic and more deforestating, and requires more production and infrastructure. Then the beauty is it doesn't work in extremes. Electricity is the first thing out.

SMR nuke and super critical c02 turbine you could power an EV for 10 years without a refuel.

Hahaha the solar car. Where is the mythical charge point. You see when they crossed the Sahara they took a bunch of water yes. The same with gas. EV what where? Dumbass. It was an easy concept.

More parts and services to make the parts and services work. How many services does it take to turn on a light bulb. How much more does it cost? Cost, understand it yet.

They cost more to produce and are far out of the range of the average consumer to purchase or maintain, and that's hardly efficient or cost effective. Paying so much more than you would have in cost of operations of a normal ICEV They cost more than a gas vehicle would to buy, and maintain.
Electricity prices vary too, and so it may cost more to charge your ticking timebomb of a car.
They are an awful investment and are unreliable. Again they cost more than a standard vehicle would. You are only looking at fuel consumption instead of charge time, 'fueling convenience' and maintenance Etc.
Electric vehicles are more costly to get into and upkeep, they have less range, less options for recharge/fueling and may burst into flames.

80% of the energy in the battery moves the car. 30% of the fuel in a regular car moves the car forward. They win with light vehicles but American yuppies want their SUVs and trucks to be battery powered so that's where the moronation the free market is catering to with poor results.

The entire idea seems 'forced', and that is part of what I hate about it. Perfect the technology, and let some designer implement it correctly first, then sell it.
Don't plan to or threaten to ban current models out of spite, in order to push this hideous hypocritical 'environmental' message.

You need more than efficiency in order to become a superior product. Especially if you consider the difference between 33% efficiency and 50% efficiency is nothing more than a few cents to the average person.

Literal money maker with no other thought. More automobiles, brand new automobiles, with decreased lifetimes using more electricity needing for more services and infrastructure. These automobiles you cannot repair either, parts are completely replaced.

    My theories:

    > they give the government more "range control" due to their limited range and digital requirements to "charge"
    > they install significant data mining and real-time control into cars giving them more control
    > they really are stupid enough to believe they're going to save the planet (I think this one is less likely because it would require extreme moronation/stupidity)

I just assume by default that everything the government does is to increase their power and control over people, and everything they say is a lie to cover up the real agenda or to cover their asses.

It's crack on steroids, far more profitable when they also sell even more oil and gas now restricted. It still makes all your shitty products. Plastics alloys extraction and haulage rockets and flight.

Meanwhile in your own nation hahaha. Tell me this why is every single find prospect and exploration just jumped on the stockexchange. Look up NZ oil and gas exploration. Notice that share price. Now compare to former year's when it was banned. It has reopened due to the demand. No sooner will it look at the shares be back in business.
