if you complain to a brand about something they won't directly send you the product, they will however send you vouchers (something like 10 bucks) to get them for free in any shop.

Join us: we are a single-ingredient family. We only buy single-ingredients. The most prepared food we get is canned tomato sauce.

We also have eaten out twice since 2022 and it was so underwhelming that we probably won't again. Ever.

Let's say you're broke, you could live off a can Cunky soup per day with some bread. That makes your cost of food 6 bucks per day.
Worst case a can of Chunky per day could feed two people for a while.

Of course fricking Shoppers overcharges for soup. Who the frick goes grocery shopping there? There's a reason why soup, pickles, and crackers are all on one shelf it's because the grocery section is usually 2 isles, a wall of freezers and fridges, and a really sad looking fruit/vegetable shelf.

It's the corn syrup nucleus that glues the market perimeter together with centrifugal force. The big names are pure customer rape since covid is all, started with the shitwipe cartel and spun out of control, will get worse. Actually to be fair trucking was reamed out here at the same time and now a browning cartel. Farmers are guns to head here.

Can't see inside a can, the actual ingredients compared to pictured is almost actionable and in fact people are starting to lawyer up. Their low end soups are half price, mix with water, enough salt to make you puke if you are not use to it.

Canned soup is disgusting. Its a step up from dog food with way too much sodium. Its the worst pieces of meat and vegetables too and looks nothing like its picture. Everything is overpriced now but chunky soup has been a rip off for 10 years now.

It has to do with the watershed boundaries. In Canada , the soup is made from water that flows north to the Arctic and Hudson Bay which gives it a luxury flavour and commands a higher price.

Cook your own shit. Don't pay the markup and in a few years they'll pull back. This is a trend in corporate board rooms where they're trying to test the limits of their pricing power. For example, General Mills tried to do this with their cereals and got punished last quarter. Don't accept it and the prices will decline

Don't they all just cross the border and shop in the US. Isn't that why everyone in Canada lives like 3 miles from the border?
