Mandating this is weak

A strong government would ban single-use plastic altogether.

I'm a strong conservative with belief in family empowerment and individual autonomy and think the climate change is a hoax but I would celebrate the end of single-use plastic.

Before this law passed, I'd never once seen anyone throw the cap away separately from the bottle, nor had I ever done it myself.
Now I make it a point to rip that shit off and throw the bottle and cap in separate places whenever I can.

      >Before this law passed, I'd never once seen anyone throw the cap away separately from the bottle
of course not, we have a bin for recycling which due to local government cuts is emptied now every two weeks. it is strictly necessary to squeeze the air out of the bottle and screw the cap to keep it from unfolding and taking up too much space.
the majority of our plastic just gets sent to sweden and they burn it for electricity anyway. the whole thing is a joke.

It makes it way harder to drink from the bottle, so you just end up ripping the ring off as well. That plastic ring is way worse as trash as it can tangle up in some animal, the cap alone wouldn't have been nearly as bad.

nah, homosexual governments do this shit, like here. what they definitely do NOT try to ban is importing millions of poos and Black folk, which is way worse for the environment. They would recycle more easily though, so there is that.

    moron.

Not one fricking company is going to let their already razor thin profit margins slip through their hands like sand in the wind by reducing their shipping load and simultaneously adding weight (glass) in a free market economy. God, you're a moron. Who let you use the computer?

We're talking about plastic bans ITT. Even homeless people don't drink their beverage of choice out of plastic. It's something that civilized countries should've banned decades ago.

sure, lets just 5x the weight of every shipment of every bottled product, im sure that wont mean more fuel use in transportation and le deadly C02.

Consumers should come in with empty reusable bottles and just purchase the liquid. No container. Now businesses don't even spend on packaging. Real think

Black person even things like applesauce are shipped across the pacific MULTIPLE times in its manufacturing process, if anything the weight decrease from plastic containers has only further incentivized abuse of piss cheap container ships which themselves are one of the worst single sources of pollution. have a nice day.

yeah, i'll just get my pickle and beetroot and coffee and stuff refilled at the store, not to mention the milk and yogurt which is now open and spoiling from the moment i get it. im sure all of this fricking around won't lead to endless lineups, spills, contamination from Black folk and more waste.

Not even close, the majority of the weight is the water.
          > im sure that wont mean more fuel use in transportation and le deadly C02
It worked fine for a hundred years, there is no reason we can't do it again. Maybe it is time to go back to having lots of small local bottling plants instead of 3 of them for the entire continent.

Which is insignificant. Welcome to the point. You are going from 1kg for per litre to 1.5kg per litre in total shipment weight.

They don't care, you're below limit still. The only thing it does is increase the fuel cost slightly. Since fuel cost is about 4% of the cost, you are looking at a 1% increase in soda price at the store.

They think their political positions are like a drive-thru service and have to pass laws arbitrarily to keep der job to justify the theft when in reality they don't need to be doing that. They need to be doing the needful and preserving our rights instead of serving the next customer on pay they themselves would agree no fast food worker deserves but nobody wants their rights violated or forced to change their standards because a competitor deduced even if it impacted their finances that the law's regulation would impact their competition's finances more a winning move is moronic to serve up in a drive-thru.

Even if it was catering to the masses. Glass is far superior and there can be refill stations but logic is absent from absent minded people. It's why they believe they can do whatever they want for whatever reason or excuse but at the end of the day they're just pointing to something to justify something unjustified.

Also, at the end of the day, it's not their property. This is why government tax-backed assists should be illegal for business enterprises. It goes making them entitled but because they factually do have a personal armed force at their disposal they follow through on it every time while for you they take by force since the threats exists in real life and they don't pay back or serve you. Reality is, if there was no taxation, things would be cheaper. Rich people can frick off. If you paid fairly you know damn well you wouldn't have the power you have today but at the same time there wouldn't be poverty. Frick you and your arrogance.

    1. The tab is extra plastic that would have otherwise been unnecessary
    2. The tab in that picture is way too short to allow the cap to thread off the top of the bottle
This is all kinds of tardation
