Ignorant =/= stupid. Maybe she was just homeschooled or something? As long she's interested in learning, it's not all hopeless.

Stop dragging homeschooling through the mud. public schools do no better at teaching and raising children.

        >public schools do no better at teaching and raising children
Found the homeschooler. I had to memorize every state, every country, and the capitol of each of them AND mark them all on a blank map in 6th grade.

and you totally remembered them all to this day. and there totally weren't many kids who passed with less than perfect grades and then immediately forgot most of that
shut the frick up man, this shit ain't even important
"hurr durr, look at me, I can tell where a place on a map is that I've never been to!"
I doubt you have the brains to calculate the total cost of a loan, or other basic finances. Or analyse your spending of money or time over large periods to see where you're going.
Did your school teach you to cook anything meaningful? Or how to use tools to fix or make things? Spot manipulation and propaganda? Highly doubt it.

            >and you totally remembered them all to this day
Yes, I can still point out most countries from memory. We were quizzed repeatedly. I'd need maybe attempts to get the capitols right.
            >this shit ain't even important
            TRIGGERED
            >I doubt you have the brains to calculate the total cost of a loan, or other basic finances. Or analyse your spending of money or time over large periods to see where you're going.
I make 6 figures and half a half-million dollar net worth with no debt.
            >Did your school teach you to cook anything meaningful?
Yes, in Home economics class. We cooked meals and learned dinner etiquette.
            >Or how to use tools to fix or make things?
Yes, I still have the toolbox I made as a kid.
            >Spot manipulation and propaganda?
We learned how to do research and do proper citations. Trash sources got you trash grades. No, I'm not a boomer.

I don't know why you're so mad, man. Public school is underfunded but still better than homeschooling.

Respect, my homie, and likewise. I think we did all the states and capitols in 4th grade but still I'd say I remember most or all of them

            >TRIGGERED
            Nah, he's just jealous

            >Yes, in Home economics class. We cooked meals and learned dinner etiquette.
            That shit is for gays

            >Yes, I still have the toolbox I made as a kid.
I definitely did not learn this in school. My dad can fix damn near anything though and of course I had to take after him, so..

            >We learned how to do research and do proper citations. Trash sources got you trash grades. No, I'm not a boomer.
Pretty sure my teachers never once checked our sources, but I guess I wouldn't really know

            >I don't know why you're so mad, man. Public school is underfunded but still better than homeschooling.
Well that'd depend on who the homeschooler was, and who the kid was i guess. A smart kid is going to do well no matter what, but they might do better with a smart homeschool parent than they would with a bunch of shitty public school teachers. Buuuut, the only people that homeschool are moronic hardcore religious homosexuals so yeah, that's a long shot

            >Buuuut, the only people that homeschool are moronic hardcore religious homosexuals so yeah, that's a long shot
Bingo. The parents that push to homeschool their children usually have a middle-school education. They want to 1) keep the public from seeing Johnny's black eye or his scars from working the farm with Pawpaw and/or 2) keep Johnny from learning anything that doesn't align with their closed worldview.

Anyway, the point of all this is that OPs gf is an idiot. And her low IQ is gonna drag his IQ down.

Pretty sure everyone on the fricking planet knows Texas

OP should tell us his name though so we know just how moronic she is

Is she pleasant to be around? That’s the key.

A woman doesn’t need to be intelligent, it’s a bonus for sure, but being pleasant company is far far more important.

      >A woman doesn’t need to be intelligent, it’s a bonus for sure, but being pleasant company is far far more important.
lol man, I think there's like a minimum intelligence level for people to actually be pleasant company

i mean, she's good at certain things like geology and writing. she seems really open to my thoughts on politics and social matters, so i suppose you're right in that aspect

      >i mean, she's good at certain things like geology and writing

If that anon was laughing at them out loud or just sending them to her because he thought they were funny? Then I can 100% believe his gf lost her shit over it. Some women just fricking hate it when their bf is having a good time, and will do anything to destroy that

knowing random knowledge doesn't mean she's otherwise an idiot
Tho her putting a dot at all at the map suggests she may be, I think a smart ignorant person would just say "I don't know".
I mean, as long as her idiocy doesn't cause problems, then... is there really a problem? Idiots can also be good people.

What options are you considering here? Are you asking about how the difference in cognitive application would affect the relationship down the line? Don't really know what kind of answers you're looking for here.

talk with her about things that interest you, and she'll pick up knowledge as you go
either that or nothing, I think it's a bit cute when women don't know things, I find it very annoying when they can't put things together once you tell them though (probably that is what I would argue is actually stupid rather than low in knowledge)

Depends on who you are as a person. I love a woman who gets the gears in my head turning. My fiance and I have the most fun and thought provoking conversations, she really keeps my mind sharp and I don't think I could live without that. If you're content with being the smart one by a large margin, that's absolutely your call.

I considered dating someone I thought was dumber than me and it made me rethink it for a moment. Never ended up happening for other reasons. As long as she's not making really heinous mistakes or so mind numbingly stupid you want to blow your brains out from embarrassment you should be ok

im autistic and i suck at basic geography and alot of common knowledge, but i have extensive knowledge and wisdom in other areas. its all very unbalanced and i wish i could change it, but my brain will only retain information that is very stimulating to me aka my special interests. i have to use google often to help me with very basic things, and also to appear less moronic to other people. some people will tell u im the smartest person they ever met in their life, some would tell u im a moron. it depends.
