unless you have a lot of money for surgery there will be sagging skin which is even more unsightly.

Once you are fat you are basically always gonna be fat, it fricks up your biology. Even regular fasting and intense exercise just keeps weight gain at bay and doesn't help you lose weight. It's nearly impossible to lose weight and keep it off before 25, and once you have lost that weight it's a nightmare actually beating it. Over 30, you're just fricked without drugs.

    t. former fatty.

eating fewer calories than you use will result in weight loss

        >eating fewer calories than you use will result in weight loss
I fast regularly, count my calories (I might actually overcount my calories since I count a coffee with milk and no sugar as 150 kcal), don't drink soda or alcohol, do an hour of intense exercise every morning as well as an hour of low-intensity exercise every night. In order to maintain my weight, I'd have to be eating 2800-3000 Kcal per day. My weight is completely stagnant and has been for years. I lost 70 pounds when I was younger. The thing is that once you are fat, your body gets used to being fat and fights angrily against being not-fat. It simply is what it is.

how much do you eat though?
sure you arent consuming anything with "zero" calories that actually has them but can legally say 0
the way the body tries to keep you fat is by making you eat

            Anonymous

I don't eat "zero calorie" food. Not even "zero calorie" soda. I count my calories accurately or even over-count them while exercising far more than most people, but my weight remains stagnant. I might have some unidentified hormonal or thyroid issue, who knows, but it is what it is.

ok so you accurately calculate your calories
that means you overestimate how much you burn

Even if I did, I don't intake a replacement amount of calories. Most days I don't even hit 1800, normally hovering around 1500, while also fasting 3-4 days a week. The minimum I'd have to hit in terms of caloric consumption to maintain my weight would be 2200-2400, which, again, I don't hit, and realistically it's more like 2500+ because of my fasting and exercise. I run 3-4 miles every day, outdoors, at an average pace of 7mp/h, then get home and do other exercises like push ups, wall sits, et cetera for another half hour.

It just is what it is.

my point is your "replacement amount" is lower than you think
might legit be a thyroid issue that makes you use less or maybe your body is just like that

            >my point is your "replacement amount" is lower than you think
If my replacement amount is under 1800 Kcal per day then something has gone horribly wrong with my metabolism. The running alone should be using 300 kcal minimum, let alone the other exercise. My doctor told me I'd need at least 2500 kcal per day to maintain my weight, but here we are. It's frustrating to put more work in than most people and get fewer results, but that's just a typical /NSFFW/ story.

yeah and thyroid issues mess with metabolism
sorry for being a bit mean but there are just so many cases where it just is their own fault lol

I get that, a lot of fatties really don't try. I have fat friends who wonder why they are fat then stuff chips and ice cream into their mouths every day. Meanwhile I'm going on 4 mile uphill runs and stagnating. I'm gonna get a blood test done soon and see what happens.

Cook her vegetable stir fry every day. Don't tell her that it's for her, just tell her that you felt like it.
Learn a bunch of different weight loss recipes and cook them for dinner every night. Tell her that they're for you. Try out different ways to put garlic and onion in them to make them delicious

Fatties love lying about how much they eat. Otherwise they wouldn't be fatties.

Which surgery? Liposuction? Mildly. Barbaric surgery? Yes. But you'd be better off trying diet/life style changes first. Then try one of the -glutides if she still needs help. Then finally consider bariatric surgery.
