Correct. It is a major factor.
This is also a large contributor of similar birth rate declines in Mainland China and South Korea.

Social media didn't exist then, cultural feminism wasn't as widespread, and much of Eastern Europe were close-knit villages where it was easier to find a wife than in atomized cosmopolitan cities of 2024

no, it's a step in the right direction
for profit dating apps are cancer because they are built from the ground up to squeeze people for money instead of building lasting relationships

banning all for profit dating apps and having a government dating app with algos targeting lasting relationships is the way to go

      >just throw more money at the problem
      That doesn't solve anything.
The decline in birthrates is purely cultural, not economic in nature. People nowadays are far, far wealthier than their great-grandparents. Sure, you can't afford a nice comfy house on a minimum wage job like boomers, but you don't live in a rundown shack with no running water like most people did just 5 or 6 generations ago either.

They already do this in Tokyo. It doesn't work
It's been tried in other countries as well like Worst Korea. Failed there too. A better way is to punish and stigmatise people who don't have children

Mandatory reduction of work hours. Trust me, force the whole world to adopt 4-day work week and yts and east asians will start making babies again.
Giving more money or lowering cost of living do jack shit if everything is a rat race. You can't put dollar sign on free time.

If politicians really cared about the people, they would not hide behind tax-sucking parasites called "fertility experts" to siphon off money, but would honestly admit that this is the sum total of hundreds of irreversible reasons, and convince us to use that money to end the Ponzi scheme called pensions as painlessly as possible.
But no, let's replay the same old clown pantomime antics. We're woooooooorking!
Even if they start dismantling the bomb now, one limb after another is going to blow off, and all they do is pretend they don't hear the ticking.

if governments really wanted to, they could solve the problem easily

they could just ascertain the solution by segregating towns, and conduct social experiments, i.e. less work hours for a small town, more interdependence, more community

    they just don't really care
if they need the line to go up, or need slaves, they can just bring in immigrants, or just abandon japan and immigrate to another country

    >Financial and social benefits don't work
Why do virgin /misc/tards keep saying this? People want to have kids but it's too fricking expensive and young people can't afford a house.

$1000 in tax rebates per child does nothing to solve that issue, they need to help married couples own a house instead of funneling that money to Ukraine and immigrant welfare.
