I have worked at my current job for three years. During this time, I started taking Adderall, a medication for psychological treatment, which led to a period of hypomania. This change improved my depression and anxiety, but it also made me more talkative and loud, according to my colleagues.
Their attitude towards me shifted negatively, and after raising concerns about unfair treatment, I was compelled to take a two-week leave. During this period, my supervisor even inquired about my sexual orientation.
Upon returning to work, I endured for five more months of undue scrutiny. However, I was abruptly terminated after a complaint I filed against my supervisor was confirmed.
Currently, there’s an investigation into whether my dismissal was due to my sexual orientation. I have gathered a collection of emails from the office server which exhibit a pattern of homophobic behavior and consistently demonstrate my excellent performance over the past four years.
Given these circumstances, I’m questioning if my termination was indeed due to my being gay.
