It's evolution. Hair serves no purpose anymore, not even sexual selection since wigs are so realistic. Hair is going the way of the tail or 2nd penis.

hormonal imbalances due to birth control plus the prevalence of ponytails

      how do ponytails kill hair?

        Anonymous

because what you're doing is using a hair tie to pull hair back and keep it there for thousands of hours
the formal term for this is traction alopecia
this can cause scarring of the scalp tissue which leads to permanent baldness

        Anonymous

He's likely using the phrase "ponytail' here to refer to a buttplug with. It's a well known scientific fact that long term buttplug use results in increased blood flow to the sphincter which in turn results in a decrease of blood flow to the scalp. This lack of blood flow to the scalp causes hair follicle death.

        Anonymous

As he said, traction alopecia. It can be reversed with aggressive massage and microneedling but hardly anybody knows this. The most well known example of this in action is the musician? Jojo Siwa. You see it in gymnasts and ballet dancers and ice skaters as well but not many people follow those sports enough to watch a woman's hairline deteriorate over time. Tightly tying your hair back will calcify your scalp and suppress follicles entering the active growth phase. Women being lazy and not massaging their scalps while washing their hair, not brushing it (one of the benefits of brushing hair is the stimulus to the scalp) and being lazyasses and just keeping it tightly tied up because they don't want to style it are the main contributing factors.

          Anonymous

traction alopecia is also why women aren't forced to have ponytails in the military anymore
I don't know about massaging or microneedling, just don't encourage women to put their hair in ponytails
if they're going to do anything which requires keeping their hair out of the way, just cut the hair short

okay gentlemen im going to once again try to scream at you the cause for baldness in the west
    LOW VIT D
Vitamin d is essential for strong hair as its a reaction your body does to add a smaller layer of protection against uv rays to a very important part of your body.
it will also do it to other parts exposed a lot
(why are greeks so fricking hair and generally people in the hot climates)
the lower your vit d however your body will start to develop a more extreme response by shedding hair to allow for more absorbtion.

The only stack I've found to cause minor hair regrowth is vit d, macha green tea, and caffeine.
Obv go easy with the caffeine. No idea why it works but the vit d theory makes sense.
Also vit d is a hormone? hormones are powerful

they are caused by poor nutrition (high-carb, low-fat, low-micros) and by stress, as well as birth control.
The male phenotype expression of PCOS is premature balding and it is caused by excess estrogen which is also caused by metabolic dysfunction, NOT by DHT.

Women start experiencing temporal recession, frontal recession and female pattern hairloss in their late 20s to 30s at the same time men's hair starts going to shit too. They just hide it better because there is less of a stigma surrounding it and the hairdressers they go to are well informed on the best hairstyles and products to minimize the appearance of hairloss. There's a lot of trickery afoot with women and their hair. All I can say anon is whatever you do, do not get women's hairlinepilled. It'll ruin your life.

The isn’t female pattern androgenic alopecia that is frontal fibrosing alopecia. Which women can fix for $44 a month with no drugs or by changing their diet. Also southern European women share their DNA with the baldest men on earth, Western Meds, so many stealthily carry the genes. I should note 56/62 of the ?genetic sequences? known to cause androgenic alopecia are in the Y chromosome

Too much testosterone. Men get the hair loss gene from their mothers and low testosterone is the reason women don't start going bald until they are like 70. It's also why FtM trannies loose their hair after immediately after taking testosterone.

If that was true then our male zoomie friends wouldn't be so bald even at 20. It's something fricking our hormone production. Could be diet mixed in with endocrine disruptors and maybe microplastics(which contain endocrine disruptors).

            Anonymous

He's saying that hormones are the apparent cause of androgenic hair loss, but your hair follicle's sensitivity to those hormones are genetically determined. People with certain genes are extremely sensitive, while others can have massive amounts of test and dht in their blood and tissues and their hairline stays rock solid. Ronald Reagan is a famous example of someone who had follicles that seemed completely insensitive to dht exposure.

Any amount of test is enough to make you bald if your androgen receptor sensitivity is high enough. That's the point, unless you're cranking anabolics it's not the natural androgens that determine if you bald or not, it's how sensitive your follicles are to androgens that do.

    Hair loss:
In males, crystallization of DHT is the culprit, along with an imbalance of testosterone if not low testosterone. When there's more DHT than testosterone in the body you end up sweating it out. Low blood flow areas, such as the scalp, don't sweat it out well, which can cause the DHT and other things you sweat out to crystalize. This crystallization will eventually damage the hair follicle until it no longer grows hair.

In females, high levels of either DHT or DHEA can cause balding, which is often due to Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH) or Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), with PCOS being the female phenotype expression of male pattern baldness, both of which are caused by excess estrogen via metabolic dysfunction. CAH or PCOS lead to adrenal glands producing too much DHEA, which converts into DHT locally through the androgen backdoor pathway.
Both PCOS and CAH are congenital, PCOS in particular causes the production of more androgen in the ovaries, both of which often go hand-in-hand with hyperinsulinemia, hypercortisolism and metabolic disease. Prolactin is also the death of hair when it's too high.
This can be fixed with bicalutamide. Though, high prolactin may require something else.
Also, poor nutrition (i.e., eating plants instead of meat) and birth control will often induce hormonal imbalances with the correlated hair loss or thinning in women, and ponytails will induce traction alopecia.

Alopecia is a different situation, because it's mostly caused by various forms of ringworm, which often derives from weakened immune systems and poor hygiene. Alopecia is 100% treatable with basic anti-fungal medications and proper hygiene.

Also, PRP and PRF shots into the scalp work well on males and females.

nope wrong correlation does not equate causation

you aren't stimulating your follicles. something like Derminator 2 (no affiliation) pokes holes into your skin. I used to do 1.4mm on my forehead and it made my hairline come back.

You're going bald because your scalp isn't getting any action. When you're a kid, you fall over. You get hurt. You grow hair out of wounds. The wounds come out clean. You get new skin. That skin is protected with hair. Just trust me on that one.

I only did it on my forehead though. Not the temples. Temples is a waste of time, you're already getting hair out of it. You just need to stimulate an increase in blood flow.
