I'm not homophobic, I just don't want to risk having a bf who's gonna cheat on me with a dude.

what if he cheated on you with a girl?

He's no more likely to cheat on you with a dude than a straight would cheat on you with a woman. Also assuming bi men are cheaters is homophobia 101.

Being bisexual means that he has twice more people to potentially cheat with. It vastly increases the odds. It would also feel more insulting.

          Anonymous

It's not twice as many because there's way less gay and bi men than straight women.

          idiot logic

By your logic you shouldn't date people who aren't racist since not being racist increases the amount of (races) people you're attracted to and that's more people to potentially cheat with

          >twice as many people to cheat with
That would imply there are as many gay or bisexual men as there are straight men, which there are not.
Also, the amount of people this person has to cheat with doesn't necessarily correlate to his likelihood to cheat. It's a matter of behavior, not availability.

            Anonymous

            >It's a matter of behavior, not availability.
All men are potential cheaters. If you give them more availability, you increase the odds. It's not complicated.

            >One of my best friends is gay
            >>I'm not racist, I have black friends
            >don't enjoy watching men
you don't have to watch ur potential bi bf have sex with men lol,
He might not even be interested on it sex with men, just like there are straight girls who don't care about sex
            And you'd still reject him

            >He might not even be interested on it sex with men, just like there are straight girls who don't care about sex
If you don't want sex, that's called being asexual. If the guy claims to be bi, but doesn't want to have sex with men, then he's obviously not bi.

            >I'm not homophobic. One of my best friends is gay. I support gay rights.
Doesn't mean you can't be homophobic. Most women are just like you, but then will freak out when faced with the possibility of dating a bisexual man, but why? Its because you see men who have sex with other men as disgusting and lesser. Its classic cognitive dissonance.

            >I support gay rights! There is nothing wrong with being gay!
            >Okay I'm bi and wish to date you!
            >Ew gross you are disgusting and std ridden gay!

            That's basically what you are.

            >but then will freak out when faced with the possibility of dating a bisexual man, but why?
            I already told you.

            >Its because you see men who have sex with other men as disgusting and lesser. Its classic cognitive dissonance.
            Not true.

            >>Ew gross you are disgusting and std ridden gay!
That's a good point, actually. Thanks. If he cheats on me with a guy, there's a significantly higher chance that he will give me a std after. Not homophobic, that's just a statistical reality, and I'm not sorry if it offends you.

            >All men are potential cheaters. If you give them more availability, you increase the odds.
Not everyone is a potential cheater, some people do not have the emotional capacity to do that. The potential for cheating varies from person to person on an individual level and isn't related to the number of people that are willing to cheat with them. Some people will refuse cheat regardless of how many people throw themselves at them. Others will actively seek out people to cheat with even if no one else wants them. Some people will cheat on you with people they aren't even attracted to just because cheating itself turns them on so much, or out of malice or spite.
These factors are independent of one another. Bisexual men are no more likely to cheat than heterosexual men.

Kind of a sweeping generalization to make about half of earth's entire population. It's like saying all women are materialistic bawds who only care about money, it's the rhetoric of sour people who are failing to cope with failed romantic relationships.
Out of curiosity, what about asexual men?

            Anonymous

I think asexual men are cool, at least in theory, because I'm frankly skeptical that they even exist, unless they've been castrated or something. I think that most men who claim to be asexual are probably just lying to explain their lack of gfs. But in theory, I could be with an asexual guy.

Also it gets concealed by the fact that women tend to get along with gay men, but that's only because they see gay men as neutered lesser men. This never gets addressed because gay men aren't trying to date them, but when bisexual men try to date them, they get the ick because they see you the same way they see gay men, which is not a real man.

Its very similar to how girls react when guys try to get out of the friend zone. They can tolerate and accept your beta unattractive traits as a friend, but when you present yourself as a potential lover, they realize how lame and unfit you are to be a boyfriend. Women don't realize how unattractive gay behavior is until its factored into her selecting a man to be with intimately, the same way beta behaviors are cute in a friend, but a turn off in a boyfriend.
