Interestingly, math as a domain is a complete scam that has literally never produced anything useful. All the useful math comes from other domains, mostly physics. Math then takes 40 years on average to ~~*formalize*~~ the findings in other fields. You won't be surprised to learn nobody is waiting on math in the meantime.
Everytime something useful is spawned from math, mathtards immediately shun it and it becomes its own field instead (for example computer science, information theory and statistics).
As for biology, brace yourself, it's hell. 0 rigor anywhere, all results are bullshit, jobs don't pay for shit without a PhD... well, at least it's got plenty of femoids around and it doesn't care about math (except for p-hacking the pre-set stats tests to pretend you're a serious scientist and not a fraud when actually you are the definition of fraud).
>All the STEM women at my uni who weren't fat or ugly as sin either already had bfs (these bfs were almost always non-STEM men) or were actively not dating.
Haha, literally same ;_;
I only love math when I'm counting my thousands of dollars in profits every month. Otherwise, it's a waste of time. Just let the math guys handle it, everyone has their own skill sets.
>think I'm pretty smart >got decent grades in math >decide to take advanced math class in high school >literally do not understand any of it >realise I've hit my level cap >drop the class >eventually stop attending my other classes too
Memes aside I would say don't be too discouraged by your experience in the advanced class. Those classes are designed to select the top students so they can get extra attention and be funneled into math competitions/contests or send them off to good undergraduate programs so that the school gets a good reputation. So the pedagogy was probably not suited to average students. I strongly believe that anyone with a baseline level of intelligence and pattern recognition skills can learn university level math if they put in the effort. Take it slow and keep learning. Once you get to university you can start taking the introductory courses to ease yourself into it. (That is if you still have a desire to learn math.)
Mathematics could be my salvation in my impoverished country. I could have become a programmer, but I was born with bad genes, I am a moron and on a subconscious level I understand that the whole concept of work and understanding among mathematicians, physicists or programmers is incomprehensible. Araragi really has a good life
You barely need any mathematics to be a programmer. The only times you might need mathematics is during university and the situation regarding that depends on your country but likely there are ways to avoid it. Web devs and other code monkeys do not use mathematics.
This is true, but there's no fun in doing code monkey bullshit. Simulation, modeling and numerical applications are way too fun. Still require very little math, but the math you do use is all very meaningful.
No I've always hated math and thought it was boring. I used to be one of the best in my grade at math, but I never studied or paid attention in class and half assed all my hw so over time I slowly fell behind. I literally had to drop AP calc my senior year since I couldn't even do the summer packet beforehand which was algebra and precalc recaps. It was probably 50 pages long and I started it the night before the first day of school.
Took me about 2 minutes to realize I couldn't do it and didn't care enough to catchup on the huge amount of studying needed. Still waited until the first test (which I failed) to drop the class though. Worked out anyways though since I applied to schools with a reputation for the humanities and never intended to do anything in STEM, let alone math.
I like it when I understand it.
Took Mathematics in college, really enjoyed integrals, algebraic fractions and algebraic division. Trig identities and mechanics made me want to kill myself.
Math has great philosophical potential. Same with physics. Shame nu-philosophical curriculums don't expand on pure math. Philosophy should be a 7 year degree including physics and pure math, specially set theory.
my math tutor in 9th grade was really hot and jacked so i tried doin my best and i actually scored well that year lol
i wanted to suck his wiener but uh yea i never got to it lmao
math is 30% of the reason im suffering in life
same
Unoriginal
Yes I like math! Recite me some elegant proofs anon.

Not really Tbh. I got it out of my system.
When I understand it. I dont
When I dont understand it. I dont
I only tolerate it because my entire job is based on measurements
No, my math teacher ruined it for me. It's my least favorite field of study, I don't even want to touch it, ever.
I will never do math again. >:c
>I will never do math again. >:c
aww, so cute..
It's not cute, I hate math. There's nothing cute about it, you weirdo. Leave me alone.

No. I realised I'm too dumb for grad school and research mathematics. So now I'm bitter.
Math is useful
I fricking love science so I fricking love maths with an S
hey bby I wish I was your definite integral, so I'd be in the area underneath all your curves
I have tried this on an IRL 3d girl and it did not work
They need to be into you for it to work. I say shit like that to my gf all the time and she loves it but if i started with that it would be weird.
>>They need to be into you for it to work
well I suppose that explains my lack of success
Well if it makes you feel any better i tried that one on her and she called me a nerd so its probably better to stick with physics lines
I only love math when I'm counting my thousands of dollars in profits every month. Otherwise, it's a waste of time. Just let the math guys handle it, everyone has their own skill sets.
I have dyscalculia and math made me cry in school

If you had any problem whatsoever, even the tiniest issue, in advanced math in high school, you are clinically moronic. Sorry, it's the truth.

be careful with what you refer to as "barely any mathematics". you might be talking to people who cant do basic algebra.
This is true, but there's no fun in doing code monkey bullshit. Simulation, modeling and numerical applications are way too fun. Still require very little math, but the math you do use is all very meaningful.
No; I have a learning disability in math. Also quantification was a mistake; we were never meant to quantify things and it's only lead to trouble

Used to i dont like shit
If I like math do I get to sex her? Preferably in the room her mother rotted in.
I liked thinking I'm good at math.
Then I went to high school.
