You have to look at it from a more nuanced perspective. When she's making the call, is the amount of effort she will have to put in to switch over to the new guy, and the real risk involved in that outweigh the benefits of being with you?
The more you bring the table and the longer you are with a woman, the more she is potentially set back if she leaves you and essentially resets. As long as I woman is even remotely into you, she'll likely not want to do that.
