The cramps are probably all in your head yes. However the sore boobs and fatigue and irritability are likely hormone driven and in some cases do appear to be cyclical. Trannies are weird.
don't believe anyone who says it definitely does or definitely does not happen. there's so much about how the endocrine system affects the entire body/brain that we have very little systematic understanding of.
the conjecture on trans periods in particular is thoroughly bleeding-edge, and i would advise you to do independent research and keep your mind open (and away from reddit hons and NSFFW doomers).
trans women, lacking a uterus, very obviously don't experience periods in the same way cis women do, but there's a lot of speculation and anecdotal experience about an equivalent phenomenon:

Most tranners have fairly consistent hormone levels, so that cause of periods doesn’t make sense either. There would really only be a cycle for MtFs on injections, and if that induced periods they’d be having them once a week. It’s psychosomatic at best and completely imaginary at worst.
even then theyre stable on the month to month level while fluctuating daily. that fluctuation shouldnt really cause a monthly period
lots of ppl do have rly sussy HRT regimens that would cause fluctuation (think ppl who are getting hondosed via injections or not getting their valerate injection frequently enough)
It's an entirely psychological phenomenon.
Call it whatever but if its happening its real lmao

Do reddit tranners just get bored of things to talk about so they start larping like they have half-periods?

that's deeeeefinitely not true anon, especially for those of us on sublingual e

the whole argument is that the body's hormone regulation feedback system is expecting a cycle
The cramps are because of the actual shedding, it's not the other way around. If you wakeup with a tummyache it's nothing to do with woman stuff.
Trannies try not to confuse having constipation with biological female menstruation challenge
sort r/mtf by controversial all time and there's dozens of posts like this where all the comments say "you NEED to go to the hospital NOW" lmao
sometimes i get cramps from drinking too much dr pepper
stupid boymoder, brush your teeth

A complete fabrication repeated by trenders in a vain attempt to validate themselves
